Audio-Technica New Product Launch at the 2024 Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show
The annual Hong Kong High-End Audio Visual Show recently concluded successfully. This year’s exhibition featured two main audio-visual areas: the Narukami Series Listening Area and the Audiophile Headphone Listening Area, attracting numerous audio enthusiasts.
In the Narukami Series Listening Area, visitors had the opportunity to closely see the components and materials of the HPA-KG NARU amplifier on display. The exhibited parts included KUROGAKI (black persimmon) wood panels, TA-300B high-end vacuum tubes, Lundhal amorphous alloy-silver wire output transformers, and RK50 metal shaft potentiometers.
Additionally, the newly launched AT-ART1000X Direct Power Moving Coil Cartridge was on demo for visitors to listen to. The AT-ART1000X cartridge is the result of Audio-Technica’s more than 60 years of expertise in analog audio, combining multiple innovative technologies with high-performance design to provide an excellent listening experience. This cartridge uses a direct power system, placing the generator coils at the base of the cantilever. This system suppressed the effects on audio quality caused by the cantilever’s length and material type, enabling the cartridge to vividly render even the most subtle sonic details for unsurpassed high-fidelity playback.
In the display area, the newly launched AT-LP70X and AT-LP70XBT turntables attracted the attention of many vinyl enthusiasts. These turntables are designed for vinyl lovers, offering excellent sound quality and a variety of functional options, making it easy for newcomers to enjoy the wonderful sound of vinyl.
- AT-LP70X：Fully automatic belt-drive, supports 33-1/3 and 45 RPM, equipped with a high-performance AT-VM95C dual moving magnet cartridge. The three-piece chassis structure effectively suppresses resonance, and the J-shaped tonearm design reduces tracking errors. It includes a built-in phono preamp, anti-resonance die-cast aluminum platter, and an external AC adapter. Available in black/gray, black/bronze, and white/silver.
- AT-LP70XBT：Adds Bluetooth wireless technology to the AT-LP70X, supporting Qualcomm® aptX™ Adaptive audio codec for superior sound quality. It includes a built-in phono preamp, three-piece anti-resonance chassis, and an external power adapter. Available in black/silver, black/bronze, and white/silver.
In the cable display area, the FLUAT 500 series
AT-IC500R and
AT-IC500X audio cables offer RCA and XLR connection options to meet various audio equipment needs. These cables are available in lengths of 0.7m, 1.3m, and 2.0m.
Besides the cable display area, there were the
AT6900 hybrid insulator and the AT6901/AT6902 series brass and stainless steel spike insulators and base insulators, which can improve the sound quality of speakers. You can also enjoy different sound arrangements by choosing between brass and stainless steel materials. The models are:

The AT-VM95 series cartridges were also exhibited. All VM95 models have removable styli and the same body design, enabling vinyl enthusiasts to interchange and upgrade any VM95 cartridge with any VM95 stylus type.
The Turntable Cleaning Supplies and Other Accessories Display Area:
The audiophile headphone listening area was another hit attraction, allowing enthusiasts to experience a range of wooden headphones. Standout models included the ATH-AWKG Kurogaki Dynamic Headphones, ATH-AWKT/f Ebony Dynamic Headphones, and ATH-AWAS/f Asada Zakura Dynamic Headphones.
Another highlight was the debut of the ATH-ADX3000 open-back headphones, which drew a large crowd of eager listeners. We received invaluable feedback from audiophiles and are excited for the ATH-ADX3000 to meet everyone again soon.
