Audio-Technica Corporation celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Hotel New Otani in Akasaka area, Tokyo, Japan on April 15, 2012 with the participation of over 700 invited guests.
The first part of the event was the ceremony session which started at 5:00 PM led by an opening speech by Mr. Kazuo Matsushita, the President of Audio-Technica Corporation followed with a short speech by the president of Audio-Technica, U.S., Inc. Then a series of recognitions were awarded to individual division, project and long service employees.

Sake Barrel Opening ceremony
After having a short break of social gathering amongst guests in a cocktail party, the second part of the event commenced with a speech by the guest from its China factory. Then the traditional Japanese “opening sake barrel” ceremony was organized just before the dinner. Various interesting programs such as interview, quiz and Wadaiko (Japanese Taiko performance) etc. were arranged to let guests enjoy as much as possible throughout the whole evening.
