    The ART1000X cartridge is the result of Audio-Technica's more than 60 years of analog audio expertise, combining multiple innovative technologies with high-performance design to provide an excellent listening experience. This cartridge uses a direct power system, placing the generator coils at the base of the cantilever, the direct power system suppresses the effects on audio quality caused by the cantilever’s length and material type. This enables the cartridge to vividly render even the most subtle sonic details for unsurpassed high-fidelity playback.

    The newly developed rectangular coil has a larger surface area entering the magnetic field than the round coil, which increases the magnetic flux and improves the reproduction of low frequencies. When the record groove drives the diamond tip to move significantly, the rectangular coil can provide higher output voltage while reducing the compression effect of low frequencies, expanding the audible frequency range of low frequencies, making the audio more real and strong.

    Non-magnetic materials are used for the coil cores improve transient response, ensure natural sound quality and extremely low distortion, and enhance three-dimensional spatial performance. Each non-magnetic core coil is made of 20μm diameter PCOCC wire and is placed in a tiny gap in a powerful magnetic circuit, allowing each coil to generate an output voltage of 0.22 mV and a coil impedance of 3.5Ω.

    The cartridge features a special wire-contact stylus and solid boron suspension that significantly increases the amount of information picked up from the record grooves. The mixed-material body includes titanium, aluminum and high-rigidity plastic to effectively disperse parasitic resonances, and features threaded mounting holes for easy mounting to the integrated tonearm. Each ART1000X cartridge is handcrafted by experts in Japan and comes with a custom wooden box and a transparent acrylic plate with a laser-engraved serial number, symbolizing its rarity and professional quality.
